The Sculpture Ranch and Galleries

Took a trip to the Sculpture Ranch and Galleries on Saturday. The Sculpture Ranch and Galleries is a Texas Hill Country project devoted to the Fine Arts and Humanities. It is situated on more than 140 acres of trails, on LBJ’s hunting ranch, and displays 100+ sculptures by more than 40 artists from around the world. There is also a 14,000 square foot hangar displaying paintings in multiple galleries, with a permanently rotating Benini exhibit.

I got there when they open and left when the closed. There was so much to photograph and it will require another trip to get what I missed. Here is a photograph of the 20ft tall sculpture named "Constant Battle". The sun position and sky were perfect for the shot. Here is another sculpture that caught my eye. It has good tones so I knew it would make a great subject for black and white. I forget what it is named so I call it Torn Apart for now. Next time I go I will get its' name.

I am looking forward to my next visit.
